Upper Drama Director, Audubon Arts at Neighborhood Music School

Tonya Wiley is an experienced educator and leader in various capacities within the educational and community sectors. Currently serving as an Elementary Teacher at the District of Columbia Public Schools since August 2017, Tonya develops curricula aligned with academic standards and fosters a positive learning environment while meeting diverse student needs. Additionally, Tonya holds the position of Upper Drama Director at the Neighborhood Music School, overseeing the production of children's plays and teaching creative writing. As a Fellow with Cave Canem, Tonya engages with established poets, enhancing literary skills. A Freelance Writer and Trainer for Spare Change Consulting, Tonya also contributes to the Connecticut Health Foundation as a Health Leadership Fellow, focusing on strategies to address racial and ethnic health disparities.
