Claire then attended the University of Michigan from 1995 to 1999, where they were a Regents' Fellowship and Rackham Non-Traditional Fellowship. Claire received their Ph.D. in psychology with a dissertation on long-term psychosocial outcomes of severe traumatic injury. Claire then attended Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine from 1985 to 1989, where they were a medical student. Claire is currently involved with Mind-Body Medicine at the Center for Mind-Body Medicine.
