Steve Costolo has a diverse work experience in various sales and leadership roles. Steve started their career in sales at Clear Channel Communications in 1997 and then worked as an Account Executive at Gamecock Sports Marketing in 1998. In 1999, they joined Fluke Networks as a Senior Territory Sales Manager/Sales Engineer and stayed with the company until 2011.

From 2010 to 2016, Steve held multiple positions at Gigamon, including Regional Sales Director and Federal Account Manager. Steve Costolo received their Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Professional Sciences from the University of South Carolina, graduating in 1996. Prior to attending university, they completed their secondary education at Gaithersburg High School. In addition to their formal education, Steve Costolo obtained a certification as an Aryaka Certified Professional from Aryaka Networks in July 2019.
