Product Development Engineer at Neptune Medical

Christopher Cheng has a diverse work experience in various engineering roles. Christopher started their career at Specific Diagnostics in 2015 as a Mechanical Design Engineer, where they designed machine component layouts and enclosures for a breath biomarker instrument. In 2016, they worked at Kelvi as a Product Development Engineer, designing and prototyping thermoelectric cryo- and thermotherapy pads. Christopher also conducted failure analysis and revised design processes. Christopher later joined UCLA Formula SAE as a Drivetrain Team Member, where they designed and performed FEA on bespoke engine drivetrain sprockets. Following that, they worked at Building Networks Group as a Mechanical Design Engineer, using AutoCAD to design and modify HVAC systems for commercial projects. In 2017, they worked at Andeavor as a Rotating Equipment Engineer, conducting audits and implementing solutions for safe pump operation. Christopher also worked at AMBOT as a Mechanical Design Engineer, where they designed and delivered an autonomous rover for a specialized customer application. In 2018, they joined Marathon Petroleum Corporation as a Project Engineer, leading multidisciplinary teams and overseeing engineering consultant design work. Christopher also served as a Machinery Engineer, monitoring machinery health and conducting failure analysis. From 2020 to 2022, they worked at Penumbra, Inc. as an R&D Engineer, contributing to research and development projects. Christopher recently joined Synthego Corporation as a Mechanical Engineer and is currently working as a Product Development Engineer at Neptune Medical.
