Jalil Benyacoub

Global Medical Affairs Lead Paediatric Medical Nutrition at Nestlé Health Science

Jalil Benyacoub has extensive work experience in the field of nutrition and health. Jalil began their career at Nestlé Research in 2000, where they worked as an RD Scientist, managing multiple projects in various areas such as petcare, infant nutrition, and healthcare. During this time, they developed strong skills in translating science and project management, as well as gaining business insight through interactions with partners and RD communities.

In 2010, Jalil became the Head of the Immunology Group at the Nestlé Research Center, where they led the group until 2015. Jalil then joined ILSI Europe as the Chairman of the Nutrition Immunity & Inflammation task force, focusing on understanding the impact of nutrition on immune functions and providing guidance for nutritional intervention studies.

In 2015, Jalil took on multiple roles at Nestlé Research, including being the point of contact for Nestlé Skin Health, leading the probiotic program development, and serving as the immune competence focus area leader for the 1000 days & healthy kids research program.

Currently, Jalil is the Global Medical Affairs Lead Paediatric Medical Nutrition at Nestlé Health Science, a role they have held since 2019.

Jalil Benyacoub obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Immunology from the University of Lausanne - UNIL between 1996 and 1999. In 2013, they completed the Nestlé R&D Micro-MBA programme. In addition, in 2011, they attended the London Business School - Leadership Programme.
