Bram van der Wal has a diverse work experience spanning from 2003 to the present. Bram'smost recent role is as the Director of Product Marketing at NET2GRID since April 2020. In this position, they lead the product strategy, portfolio creation, and Go-to-Market efforts to support the energy transition for residential customers and grid energy ecosystems.

Prior to this role, Bram worked at E.ON (formerly innogy SE) as the Head of Smart Living Marketing Development - B2C International from October 2019 to March 2020. Bram was responsible for developing strategies and propositions for the Future Energy Home, with a focus on smart energy and smart home use-cases.

From 2016 to 2019, Bram worked at Essent in various roles. Bram was the Lead Product Development - IoT Data Monetization & Smart Living international, where they aligned product roadmaps and value-added services for Smart Living topics across innogy country businesses. Bram was also the Lead Product Owner E+ / Category Management - Smart Home, responsible for product innovation, portfolio and strategy management for Essent-branded E+ products and services.

Before their time at Essent, Bram worked at TP Vision as the Sr. Product Marketing & Sales Manager EMEA for Philips Smart TV from December 2013 to July 2016. Bram also served as the Product Innovation Manager EMEA for Philips Smart TV from May 2012 to November 2013.

Bram started their career at Philips in 2004, where they held various roles including Innovation Project Lead / Competition Analyst Global - Connected Products and System Designer in TV software-services and advanced development.

Outside of their professional career, Bram was a professional mountainbike cyclist and co-founder of the MTB racing UCI Trade Team - Holland Pro Cycling Team from 2003 to 2004. Bram participated in European World Cup races and the Beijing Pre-Olympic mountainbike test race during this time.

Bram van der Wal's education history includes attending Eindhoven University of Technology from 2001 to 2004. Bram pursued Innovation Sciences (TEMA) in the Faculty of Technical Business Management during this time. Prior to that, from 1998 to 2001, Bram studied Advanced Informatics - Software Engineering at Avans University of Applied Sciences. Additionally, they attended Higher Levels University from 2010 to 2012, focusing on Empowerment training.

In terms of certifications, Bram obtained the following: Certified Data & Intelligence Management from Beeckestijn Business School in March 2019, Wine and Spirits Level 2 Intermediate Course from WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) in January 2018, Certified Category Management Direction Setting from The Partnering Group in April 2017, Global Marketing Business Management from IBM Services in June 2011, and Green Belt - Design for Six Sigma from Philips Innovation Services in September 2010.
