Amber Smith (She/Her)

Amber Smith (She/Her) has over 8 years of experience in the environmental and product management fields. Amber began their career in 2012 as a Student Researcher for McNairs Scholars. In 2015, they joined Environmental.com as an Associate Environmental Scientist. In 2017, they joined Mapistry as a Senior Product Manager, where they owned and drove product strategy and roadmap for major EHS compliance focused teams and products. Amber also assisted with the creation of the company's first customer advisory board (CAB). During their time at Mapistry, they also held the roles of Product Manager, Director of Environmental Services, and Environmental Services Manager. In 2021, Smith joined Urbint as a Senior Product Manager, where they own all product requirements and SCRUM ceremonies for the worker safety product vertical. Within just 4 months, they were able to effectively and efficiently manage the product plan for development with a team of 10+ engineers to build and deliver the Worker Safety MVP to their first customer on schedule. Amber also works with customers and prospects to field requirements and build a market ready product.

Amber Smith obtained their Master's degree in Environmental Science and Policy from Johns Hopkins University Advanced Academic Programs in 2018. In 2021, they completed a Certificate in Product Management Specialization from the University of Alberta. Amber also holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Environmental Science and a Bachelor's degree in Geology from California State University - East Bay, which they earned between 2010 and 2014.
