Chaitanya Ekanadham

Chaitanya (Chaitu) Ekanadham is a Principal Machine Learning Scientist at Netflix, with a focus on foundational research and development for content production and promotion since November 2016. Previous roles at Netflix include Staff Machine Learning Scientist, Manager of Machine Learning, and Senior Machine Learning Scientist, where contributions involved early-stage intelligence for content executives and optimizing the global video streaming experience. Prior to Netflix, Chaitanya held positions at Knewton, leading teams in machine learning and data science for adaptive learning systems. Early career experiences include a Postdoctoral Associate at Howard Hughes Medical Institute, an internship at Google specializing in sentiment analysis, and various roles at IBM and EPFL. Chaitanya earned a Bachelor’s Degree with distinction from Stanford University and a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from New York University.
