Phil Horvath

Phil Horvath is an experienced professional in music licensing and legal aspects of the entertainment industry. As the Director of Music Licensing at Netflix since October 2015, Phil leads the Music Clearance & Licensing team, managing the clearance and licensing of music for numerous high-profile projects, including series and films across various global markets. Prior to Netflix, Phil served as Manager of Film & TV Music at Sony/ATV Music Publishing, focusing on business development and managing partnerships with major clients, which resulted in significant licensing revenue growth. Phil's earlier career includes providing corporate and commercial legal advice to media clients at Holding Redlich, where involvement in film and TV production, as well as advising on tax incentives and co-productions, was prominent. Phil holds a Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the University of Technology Sydney and a Certificate in Music Business from UCLA Extension.
