Dr Claire Knight

Dr Claire Knight has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of software engineering. Dr Claire is currently working as the Director of Software Engineering at Netlify since June 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Senior Software Engineering Manager at the same company from January 2022 to June 2022.

Before joining Netlify, Dr Knight worked as the Head of Engineering at Beacon from April 2021 to December 2021. Dr Claire also had significant roles at GitHub, where they served as Senior Engineering Manager from December 2019 to April 2021 and as Senior Lead Engineer from September 2018 to December 2019. During their time at GitHub, they contributed to improving code quality, testing, and team management.

Dr Claire Knight earned a BSc degree in Computer Science from Durham University, where they studied from 1994 to 1997. In addition to their academic achievements, Dr Knight obtained a certification in Inclusive Speaker Orientation (LFC101) from The Linux Foundation in October 2019.
