Tom McConnell

Tom McConnell's work experience begins in 2007 as a Warehouse Assistant at Sage Publications. Tom then worked as a Personal Assistant at Fusion Culinary Services, llc from 2008 to 2009. In 2009, they joined James Burchill & Associates, Inc as a Research Assistant and was promoted after six months. At this company, they managed budgets, conducted research, and wrote position pieces for various clients. From 2011 to 2012, Tom worked as a Sales Development Representative at Rearden Commerce, targeting and generating sales in the travel, expense, and procurement sectors.

Beginning in 2012, Tom had multiple roles at Zendesk. Tom started as a Sales Development Representative, where they developed processes and supported strategic account engagement. Tom was promoted to Account Executive and later became a Solutions Consultant, supporting the Account Executives and driving revenue for the AMER region. Tom then became a Senior Solutions Consultant for the EMEA region, leading a project-based team to revamp sales and solution assets. Eventually, they became the Manager of Shared Services AMER, leading a team to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

In 2018, Tom joined Culture Amp as the Lead Enterprise Account Executive, advising multinational organizations on creating people-first strategies during cultural and digital transformations. From 2019 to 2020, they worked as an Enterprise Account Executive at WalkMe, helping businesses enhance their digital transformation efforts.

From 2020 to 2022, Tom worked as a Senior Sales Manager at Zendesk Sell, overseeing sales operations. Currently, they are the Director of Commercial Sales at Netlify, a position they have held since 2022. In 2021, Tom also served as an Advisory Board Member for the University of California, Irvine Division of Continuing Education, assisting with their Customer Experience Program.

Tom McConnell's education history begins with their high school education at De La Salle High School, which they attended from 2002 to 2006. Tom then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Organizational Studies at the University of California, Davis, from 2006 to 2010. During their time at UC Davis, they studied a range of subjects including World History, Statistics, Sociology, Communications, and Economics.

In 2021, Tom enrolled in the CORe Program at Harvard Business School Online, where they focused on Financial Accounting, Business Analytics, and Economics for Leadership.
