Stuart Pountney

Stuart Pountney is a seasoned professional in the rail industry, currently serving as the Strategic Commercial Director for the North West & Central region and as the Commercial Director for the East West Rail 2 and Northern Programmes at Network Rail since February 2013. Pountney's responsibilities encompass overseeing significant initiatives such as the Transforming Cities Fund, the Northern Hub, and electrification projects. Prior to joining Network Rail, Pountney held the position of Programme Commercial Manager for the East Midlands Portfolio, where key projects included the £2 billion Midland Mainline Electrification. Additionally, Pountney served as Associate Director and Estimating Manager at Faithful+Gould from June 2008 to February 2013.
