Vivien Kuan

Vivien Kuan has worked in the tech industry since 2005. Vivien started their career at Compal Communications, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer, where they maintained Wi-Fi function in Android smart-phone systems. Vivien also worked as a Hardware Engineer, completing hardware circuit design and board bring-up, as well as U-boot porting and development for the CCI platform. In 2010, they joined Sunplus as an Advanced Engineer, where they completed board bring-up and FPGA verification, as well as U-boot porting and development for Sunplus FPGA boards. Vivien then worked at Fujitsu Global Mobile Platform Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer, where they developed Embedded Linux BSP and Android OS, including Bit Blit Linux driver writing. In 2016, they joined Altek Biotechnology Corporation as a Technical Supervisor, where they maintained and developed BLE service in Android systems and conducted unit tests for BLE service. Finally, they joined SENSORTEK in 2017 as a Senior Manager, where they had SW experience on accelerometer sensors, including Qualcomm MCU driver, MTK MCU driver, Linux driver, Accelerometer HAL/APK for Android system, Windows driver, and Intel sensorhub driver. Vivien also had algorithm experience on gestures, as well as server experience with Gerrit, Jenkins, and Redmine. In 2021, they began working at NEUCHIPS as a Staff Engineer, where they are responsible for board bring-up and IC verification.

Vivien Kuan obtained their Master degree in Communication System from National Chung Cheng University between 2003 and 2005. Vivien has also obtained certifications from Coursera in Deep Learning, Sequence Models, Convolutional Neural Networks, Structuring Machine Learning Projects, Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization, and Neural Networks and Deep Learning between 2018 and 2019.
