Derek Reid

Derek Reid is a scientist specializing in discovery biology with extensive experience in product development and research within the field of genomics. Currently employed at Neurocrine Biosciences since February 2024, Derek previously held positions at Locanabio, Inc. as an Associate Scientist and Sr. Research Associate II, where key contributions included advancements in HiC applications for single-cell analysis and collaborations enhancing FFPE research. At Arima Genomics, Derek played a pivotal role in developing the FFPE HiC commercial kit and pioneering HiChIP, combining multi-omics approaches with innovative genomic techniques. Earlier roles included positions at BioLegend, Thermo Fisher Scientific, and The Scripps Research Institute, with a strong foundation in cloning and recombinant protein work.
