Mark Goldstein is the current Board Director at NeuroFlow. Prior to this, they served as the Interim Chief Financial Officer at Relay Network from December 2016 to April 2018.
At Relay Network, Goldstein established the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function and implemented a SaaS business model and reporting structure. Mark also collaborated with other departments to create a system for measuring SaaS KPIs such as ARR, CAC, CAC payback, recurring gross margins, net/gross revenue retention, customer churn and sales efficiency. In addition, they tracked these performance indicators to drive better decision making.
In collaboration with the controller and another operations professional, Goldstein also established a more efficient process for billing and collections, which reduced DSOs by 15%. Furthermore, they worked with the sales and product teams to help establish controls around contract pricing and payment terms, which resulted in a higher number of contracts with annual upfront payment, improving cash flow.
Through their engagement with the Board of Directors, Goldstein created a new financial presentation format and financial package, which enhanced communication and transparency. After instilling financial discipline through the leadership of financial operations and accounting function, they hired their replacement from an outsourced CFO firm to ensure continuity of the finance function.
Mark Goldstein attended the Texas McCombs School of Business, where they earned their MBA in finance and accounting. Mark also holds a BA in sociology from Princeton University.
