Mansi Parekh

Preclinical Manager - Epilepsy Head at Neurona Therapeutics

Mansi Parekh has a varied work experience spanning over 15 years. Mansi began their career in 2005 as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Florida, where they designed a controlled experiment to characterize longitudinal structural changes in a rat model of temporal lobe epilepsy. Mansi also carried out in vivo and excised rat-brain MRI at 4.7T, 11.1T and 17. In 2012, they joined Stanford University as a Post-Doctoral Associate, where they investigated the efficacy of new pharmacological compounds, designed and implemented drug delivery strategies, screened compounds for drug development for the treatment of lyme disease, investigated structural brain changes due to TBI in football players with concussions and head impact, designed and implemented MR acquisition techniques on 7T to study brain structural and connectivity measures in the evolving diseased brain in patients with epilepsy, and investigated brain structural changes associated with memory loss and aging using PET imaging. In 2016, they joined Neurona Therapeutics as a Scientist, and progressed to Scientist II and Preclinical Manager.

Mansi Parekh completed their Ph.D in Neuroscience from the University of Florida in 2010 and their B.S in Chemistry and Biochemistry from the same university in 2005.
