Matthew Meyer

Matthew Meyer is the current County Executive at New Castle County. Prior to that, they were a Partner at Potomac Law Group, PLLC from January 2013 to January 2017. Matthew was also a Teacher at Prestige Academy Charter School from January 2013 to December 2015. From December 2009 to March 2011, they worked as a Senior Economic Adviser at the U.S. Department of State. Matthew has also worked as an Advisor at Aquiline Capital Partners from March 2008 to February 2009. Prior to that, they worked as an Attorney – Mergers & Acquisitions at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP from October 2004 to January 2008. Matthew is also a Leader at NewDeal Leaders and the Founder of VituMob. From January 2008 to January 2010, they were the Co-founder and CEO at Ecosandals Footwear.

Matthew Meyer went to the Wilmington Friends School for their high school education. For their undergraduate degree, they attended Brown University and majored in Political Science and Government, as well as Computer Science. Finally, they completed their education at the University of Michigan Law School, earning their Juris Doctor degree.
