Nicole Rentz

Nicole Rentz is an experienced legal and policy professional currently serving as the Director of Market Development and Policy at New Columbia Solar since January 2022. Previously, Rentz held the position of Legislative Director at the Department of Energy & Environment from October 2019 to January 2022 and the same title at the Council of the District of Columbia from February 2013 to September 2019. Rentz has also contributed as an Attorney Volunteer at the Natural Resources Defense Council, where research and drafting of legal documents pertaining to pollution permitting procedures were performed. Early career experiences include a Judicial Clerk position at the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana and various roles in environmental organizations. Rentz earned a JD from The George Washington University Law School and a BS in Neuroscience and Environmental Policy from Tulane University.
