Ivan Stelmakh

Ivan Stelmakh is a seasoned academic and consultant with extensive experience in machine learning and quantitative analysis. Currently serving as a Professor at the New Economic School since January 2023, Ivan previously worked as a Consultant at McKinsey & Company from November 2021 to June 2023 and as a Researcher at Google for the latter part of 2021. Ivan's career also includes roles as a Research Consultant at Yandex and a Quantitative Analyst at Citadel Securities, along with serving as Workflow Chair at ICML. Early career experiences include a research internship at Yandex. Ivan holds a PhD in Machine Learning from Carnegie Mellon University, attained in 2022, and a Bachelor's degree in Applied Math and Physics from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, completed in 2017.
