Hiro Pater has over 20 years of experience in finance and accounting. Hiro began their career at PwC Australia, where they worked as an Accountant, Senior Accountant, Supervising Senior Accountant, and Assistant Manager for eight years. Hiro then moved to PwC Nederland as a Manager in International Business, where they specialized in Assurance, Advisory, Transactions, and Eurofirm IFRS Technical Office. After three years, Hiro joined PwC in Australia as a Senior Manager in Financial Services, focusing on Assurance and Advisory.

In 2012, Hiro transitioned to AMP Capital, a global investment management company, as a Fund Finance Manager. Hiro was responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the general ledger, unit pricing, and compliance reporting for property, infrastructure, and private equity funds. Hiro later became the Head of Fund Accounting, leading the improvement of performance for the Fund Accounting teams and implementing risk and control frameworks.

After four years at AMP Capital, Hiro joined AMP, an Australian wealth management company, as the Head of Business Partnering for Wealth Management. Hiro delivered the strategic plan for Contemporary Wealth Management, Superannuation, and Investment Platforms, providing analysis of budget, forecast, and actual management reporting.

Hiro then took on the role of Program Lead for "The AMP Way," an organization-wide change program aimed at making AMP more agile and efficient. Hiro collaborated with the AMP Group Leadership Team to design and achieve key priorities and initiatives across various specialist areas.

In 2018, Hiro joined Brookfield Properties as the Director of Developments and Unlisted Funds. Hiro supported the developments business in delivering high-quality commercial office projects and was responsible for the portfolio's quarterly and year-end reporting.

Currently, Hiro is the Deputy Chief Financial Officer at New Forests, the world's second-largest forestry investment manager. In this role, they lead a team of finance professionals and is responsible for strategy implementation, finance transformation, acquisitions and divestments, treasury, tax, insurance, budgeting and forecasting, fund accounting, statutory reporting, audit, risk management, and payroll.
