Karla Hernandez

Training Coordinator at New Immigrant Community Empowerment (NICE)

Karla Hernandez is currently the Training Coordinator at New Immigrant Community Empowerment (NICE) since September 2020. Prior to this, Karla worked at Peace Corps from September 2017 to November 2019 as a Community Health Educator focusing on Early Childhood and Teenage Mothers. Before that, Karla served as a Residence Hall Director at SUNY College at Old Westbury from August 2016 to May 2017. Additionally, Karla has experience as a Youth Intern at Tamahar Trust, a Youth Education Intern at Arthur Ashe Institute-Urban, and a Bookseller at Barnes & Noble. Karla holds a degree in English & Psychology, International/Global Studies from Adelphi University.
