Cindy Matute-Brown

Cindy Matute-Brown has a diverse work experience that includes roles in education-related organizations. Cindy served as Associate Director of Human and Civil Rights, Equity & Governance at the New Jersey Education Association from June 2021. Prior to that, they worked at the New Jersey State Department of Education in the Office of Charter & Renaissance Schools from February 2019 to November 2021. Cindy'searly career includes a significant tenure as the Enrollment & Truancy Officer at Golden Door Charter School from March 2000 to August 2018.

Cindy Matute-Brown obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature (British and Commonwealth), Women & Gender Studies, and Criminal Justice from Rutgers University in 2013.
