Guillermo H. Jimenez-Aleman currently serves as an Assistant Professor at the New Jersey Institute of Technology since September 2024. Previously, Guillermo held postdoctoral positions at the Boyce Thompson Institute from June 2022 to September 2024, the Leibniz Institute of Plant Biochemistry from December 2021 to June 2022, and CNB-CSIC from March 2018 to June 2022. Guillermo's extensive research background includes roles at the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Ecology from December 2010 to February 2018 and as a Staff Researcher at the Institute of Materials, IMRE-UH from October 2002 to October 2009. Guillermo's research primarily focused on the synthetic modification of Jasmonates to explore transport phenomena and structure-activity relationships in plants, alongside collaborations on insect pheromones and detoxification mechanisms. Guillermo obtained a Dr. rer. nat. in Organic Chemistry from Friedrich Schiller University Jena and a PhD in Chemical Ecology from the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Ecology.
