Joseph Swift

Education Coordinator at New Jersey Symphony

Joseph Swift has worked as an Education Coordinator at the New Jersey Symphony since January 2022. Prior to that, they were a Project Coordinator at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center from March 2020 to January 2022, where they oversaw the creation of marketing documents, audience engagement analysis, and the utilization of branded assets for virtual content. Joseph also served as a Lead TA Audio/Video Editor & Coordinator at Stony Brook University from August 2019 to August 2021, and as a Program Associate at InterSchool Orchestras of New York from July 2019 to February 2020. In addition to their work in education, Joseph is also a bassoonist and has served as Operations Coordinator, Education & Artistic Director for Vanguard Reed Quintet since January 2016.

Joseph Swift attended Howell High School and then went on to study music performance: instrumental at Western Michigan University. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts - BA, they pursued a Master's degree in bassoon performance & chamber music at the University of Michigan. Finally, they completed their Doctor of Musical Arts in bassoon performance at Stony Brook University.
