Matthew Cross Guillen

Matthew Cross Guillen is an experienced health promotion specialist currently employed at the New Mexico Department of Health since June 2017, where responsibilities include serving as an asthma health educator. Prior to this role, Matthew served as the education and outreach coordinator at Health Matters NM, contributing to the development of the "Our Land Our Health" land-use toolkit. Previous positions include vice president of public relations at Marketing Masters Toastmasters and sales manager at Focused Energy, along with significant experience as an environmental health educator for Bernalillo County. Matthew's early career was marked by service in the Peace Corps, where community environmental education took precedence. Academically, Matthew holds a Master's degree in Environmental Education from The University of New Mexico and a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science from Nazareth University.
