Richard Pratt serves as the Director of the Semi-arid Cropping Systems Research Innovation Program and Head of Plant and Environmental Sciences at New Mexico State University since 2011. Prior to this role, Richard Pratt was a Professor at The Ohio State University from 1987 to 2011, focusing on maize breeding and genetics as well as international agriculture. Richard Pratt holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Plant Breeding and Genetics from Purdue University, a Master’s Degree in Viticulture and Enology from the University of Arizona, and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Plant Sciences, also from the University of Arizona.
