Matthaus Owens

Matthaus Owens is an accomplished software engineer with extensive experience in leading software development teams and projects across multiple companies. Currently serving as Lead Software Engineer at New Relic, Inc. since January 2020, Matthaus has also held key positions at Zapproved as Principal Software Engineer and Puppet as Senior Software Engineer, where significant contributions included integrating Puppet Enterprise with Amazon OpsWorks and developing high-availability solutions. Matthaus began career pursuits in technology with roles ranging from Freelance Web Designer to various positions within the International Bodytalk Association and People's Food Co-op. With a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Portland State University and a diverse educational background in Spanish and Creative Writing, Matthaus combines technical expertise with creative problem-solving skills.
