Chris Simms

Chris Simms is an experienced editor in the publishing industry, currently serving as Assistant News Editor and Senior Subeditor at New Scientist since February 2012, with prior experience as Chief Subeditor. Responsibilities include subediting articles to ensure compelling writing, effective titles, and adherence to magazine standards while guarding against libel and inaccuracies. Previously, Chris held the position of Senior Subeditor at Nature Publishing Group, where there was joint responsibility for leading the subediting team, and worked as a Content Editor at Elsevier, commissioning and editing content for medical professionals.
