Deepak John

Deepak John is the founder and managing director of New Southern Energy, a position they have held since the company’s inception in 2010. Prior to that, they worked for Old Mutual from 2007 to 2010 as a technical marketing specialist, responsible for managing and positioning content from pension investments to distribution channels on corporate investment products. From 2003 to 2007, they were an actuarial analyst for Discovery Holdings, where they were responsible for positioning product content and changes to the distribution channel.

Deepak John has a certificate in Nutrition Sciences from HFPA fitness academy, a fellowship in Investments from the Actuarial society South Africa, and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Actuarial Science from the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria. Deepak also went to Pretoria boys high school.

Deepak John reports to David Masureik, Founder, Chief Executive Officer. A direct report to Deepak John is and Brian Ssebabi - Asset Manager. They are on a team with Ramon Tavenor - Chief Operations Officer, Ryno Jordaan - Chief Technology Officer, and Tamee Witten - Chief Strategy Officer.
