Kennedy Makau

Kennedy Makau is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in the renewable energy sector. Currently serving as a Project Engineer at New Southern Energy since July 2021, Kennedy previously held various roles at PowerGen Renewable Energy from November 2016 to June 2021, including Engineering Manager, Senior Engineering Associate, and Engineering Associate. Prior experience includes working as a Design Engineer at Angerlique International, GIS Project Supervisor at 42 Geomatics, and Chief Technical Officer at Kelmax Solutions. Kennedy's early career features positions as an Electrical Engineering Intern at East African Breweries Ltd, Co-Founder and Lead Developer at Inuka Africa, and a Research and IT Assistant at the African Energy Policy Research Network (AFREPREN). Kennedy holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Nairobi and completed secondary education at Starehe Boys Centre.
