Jeroen van der Knaap is an experienced engineer specializing in embedded systems and control technologies. Currently serving as a Performance & Control Intern at Lightyear since April 2022, Jeroen focuses on enhancing control systems for vehicles. Previous positions include Embedded Systems Engineer at TrueKinetix, where Jeroen worked on electronic design and embedded software development, and Teaching Assistant for a Machine Learning course at TU Delft, responsible for guiding students and grading. Jeroen also held chief engineering roles in the driverless project for the Formula Student Team Delft, contributed to a low-cost mechanical ventilator project at Project Inspiration, and completed BSc projects on power electronics at SenseGlove. Jeroen's educational background includes a Master of Science in Engineering from Delft University of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the same institution, complemented by a minor in Business and Management from Institut Teknologi Bandung.
