Nya Wilson has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Starting in 2011, they worked as an Annual Fund Caller for Bond University. In 2012, they took on the role of Digital Ad Sales Assistant at Discovery Communications. From 2013 to 2014, Nya worked as a Community Manager at M80, supporting Marriott's customer care team. Nya then joined the Gowanus Canal Conservancy as a Communications Coordinator through the NYC Civic Corps program. In their role, they led fundraising efforts and managed communications tools. Nya later worked at New York Cares as a Program Manager, where they curated volunteer programs for at-risk student populations. Nya then joined Crisis Text Line and held multiple roles, including Crisis Counselor Supervisor, Strategy Lead, and Head of Referrals. At Brooklyn Public Library, Nya served as a Resource Specialist, establishing partnerships and boosting newsletter readership. Before joining Friends In Transition Counseling as the Director of Client Care, Nya also worked as a Youth Mentor at The Osborne Association. Most recently, they started their role as a Customer Support Specialist at New Teacher Center in 2022. Nya's work experience demonstrates their versatility and ability to excel in various industries and roles.

Nya Wilson began their education at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University in 2006. Nya pursued a Bachelor of Science degree with a focus on Television, Radio & Film. In addition, they completed a minor in Marketing during their time at the university, graduating in 2010. Following their undergraduate studies, they furthered their education by attending Bond University in 2010. At Bond University, Nya completed a Master of Communication degree with a specialization in Advertising in 2011.
