Jennifer Peddycord Boyd has a diverse work experience spanning various leadership and talent acquisition roles. Jennifer currently holds the position of Chief People and Equity Officer at New Tech Network since June 2021. Prior to this, Jennifer served as the Senior Director of Talent and Director of Talent Acquisition at Leadership for Educational Equity from 2012 to 2021. In 2019, they were a participant in the Coro New York Leadership Center's Leadership New York program. Jennifer also has experience with Teach For America, where they held roles such as North Carolina Regional Director of Recruitment and Recruitment Manager from 2006 to 2012. Jennifer started their career as a Secondary Science Teacher in Baltimore City Public Schools and also had an internship as a Recruitment & Placement Intern at The New Teacher Project in 2007.
Jennifer Peddycord Boyd completed their education in a well-rounded manner, acquiring degrees and certifications in various fields. Jennifer earned a Compensation Studies Certificate from Cornell University in 2018. Prior to that, from 2006 to 2008, they pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Teaching Secondary Science at The Johns Hopkins University. Jennifer'sundergraduate education took place at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 2002 to 2006, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Biology and Communications Studies (Rhetoric).
In addition to their degrees, Jennifer also holds two certifications. In 2013, they became a Myers Briggs Type Indicator Practitioner. Later, in 2021, they obtained a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education.
