Paola Vita

Paola Vita has extensive experience in the field of education and non-profit organizations. Paola began their career in 1989 as a Field Instructor at NYC Outward Bound Schools, where they worked until 1991. In this role, they were responsible for mentoring and instructing youth staff in running mentoring programs for young children.

From 1989 to 1991, Paola also worked as a Substance Abuse Prevention/Intervention Specialist at the NYC Department of Education. In this role, they conducted prevention programs, counseling sessions, and workshops, and raised funds for community projects.

In 1992, Paola worked as a Rehabilitation Counselor at New York Hospital/Cornell Medical Center, where they provided counseling and support for rehabilitation patients.

Returning to NYC Outward Bound Schools in 1993, Paola took on the role of Alumni Coordinator/School Based Instructor. Paola created youth staff positions, supervised mentoring programs, and designed a college prep/mentoring program for alumni. Paola then progressed to become an Education Specialist/Alumni Coordinator, and later the Director of Development, raising significant funds for the organization.

In 2002, Paola became the Director of Marketing and Public Relations at NYC Outward Bound Schools, where they developed marketing and branding strategies to increase the organization's visibility.

Finally, from 2004 until the present, Paola has held the position of Chief Advancement Officer at NYC Outward Bound Schools. In this role, they oversee private sector fundraising and works to increase the organization's visibility, successfully raising millions of dollars each year.

Paola Vita pursued their education with a bachelor's degree in International Relations from Brown University, where they studied from 1985 to 1989. Later, they attended the Harvard Graduate School of Education for a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from 1991 to 1992.
