Vice President People And Culture at New York Philharmonic

Kristine Pizzo has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and organizations. Kristine is currently working as the Vice President of People and Culture at the New York Philharmonic. Prior to this role, they spent almost nine years at the New York Power Authority, starting as the Senior Vice President of Human Resources and eventually becoming the Executive Vice President, Chief Human Resources, and Administrative Officer. In this position, they led the transformation of Human Resources and Diversity Equity and Inclusion, along with overseeing several enterprise-wide shared services functions.

Before their time at the New York Power Authority, Kristine worked at Columbia University in the City of New York as the Chief of Administration for the Columbia Health Division. Kristine also served as the Executive Vice President of Human Resources and Chief Administrative Officer at the NYC Economic Development Corporation.

Kristine'searlier experiences include working at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine as the Regional Director of Human Resources, at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission as a Judicial Fellow, and at the United States Olympic Committee as a Human Resources Manager.

Throughout their career, Kristine Pizzo has gained extensive expertise in various areas such as human resources, administration, diversity and inclusion, and strategic planning.

Kristine Pizzo holds a Juris Doctor degree in Law, which they obtained from the Touro University Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center. Kristine attended this institution from 2002 to 2005. Prior to pursuing their law degree, Kristine completed their undergraduate studies at St. John's University from 1990 to 1994, where they earned a B.A. degree in English. In addition to their education, Kristine has also obtained certifications in various fields. In April 2022, they received the Everything DiSC Workplace® Certification from Everything DiSC: A Wiley Brand. Furthermore, in May 2008, they obtained the Senior Professional in Human Resources® (SPHR®) Certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI.
