Maryann Alvarez's work experience includes various roles in the advertising and sales field. Maryann started their career at L'Oréal as an Account Executive for Lancome Paris, where they developed sales plans and managed advertising layouts. After working for L'Oréal for several years, they joined The New York Times as a Sr. Digital Sales Lead for Studio Entertainment/Beauty Advertising. During their time at The New York Times, they received multiple Sales Excellence Awards and was certified by the IAB in Digital Sales. Following their tenure at The New York Times, Maryann worked at the Village Voice as the Director of Digital Sales & Partnerships, where they built a sales pipeline and won new digital and experiential business. Maryann then joined Market Enginuity as a National Account Executive for the Podcast Group before moving on to Soundrise as a National Account Executive. Currently, Maryann works as an Account Executive, Enterprise Accounts for New York Public Radio.

Maryann Alvarez attended New York University from 2002 to 2012, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Communication and Media Studies.
