Veronica de Souza has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Veronica started their career in 2009 as a Promotions Assistant at CBS Radio and later worked as a Production Assistant at 1010 WINS. In 2011, they became a Programming Assistant at Music Choice, where they managed social media accounts and attended marketing meetings.

Veronica then joined BestVendor as a Community Manager in 2012, before transitioning to Digg as the Head of Social & Community. Veronica held this role for four years and was responsible for overseeing social media and community engagement.

In 2016, Veronica joined Gawker as the Head of Audience & Social, leading the social and audience development teams. Veronica managed a 10-person team and focused on promoting content through various channels, including social media and newsletters. During their time at Gawker, they also served as a Senior Audience Development Strategist.

Veronica then moved to The Daily Beast in 2018 as the Director of Audience Development. In addition to overseeing newsletters, they also managed relationships with off-platform partners and played a key role in the development and launch of the paid subscription product, Beast Inside.

In 2019, Veronica joined VICE Media as the Senior Director of Publishing, where they worked for two years overseeing publishing operations.

Currently, Veronica is working as the Director of Digital News & Audience at New York Public Radio, a position they have held since 2021.

Throughout their career, Veronica has demonstrated expertise in audience development, social media, community management, and digital publishing.

Veronica de Souza attended Hofstra University from 2007 to 2011. Veronica graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Audio/Radio.
