Celinda Casanova is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in program management and community engagement within the fitness and wellness sectors. Currently serving as Program Project Management Consultant and Head of Community Programs at New York Road Runners since March 2003, Celinda has strategically planned and implemented key community initiatives such as Open Run, Striders, Run for the Future, and Youth Ambassadors. Previously held positions at NYRR include Director of Community Programs and Senior Manager roles focusing on runner engagement and special programs. In addition to work at NYRR, Celinda has been a Zumbini and Zumba instructor since 2016, holding several licenses in various Zumba formats. Earlier experience includes a role as a Research Analyst at METIS Associates Inc. Celinda holds a degree in Sports Management from Brooklyn College and a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from St. Francis College.
