Kenya D. L. Townsend currently serves as the President of the New York Urban League Young Professionals, focusing on empowering individuals aged 21-40 in New York City. In addition, Townsend holds the position of Conference Co-Chair for the Association for Program Administrators of CSTEP and STEP, Inc. (APACS) since January 2021. Townsend has significant experience in educational initiatives, evidenced by the role as Director and former Program Manager at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where efforts are made to introduce disadvantaged youth to science and medicine. Previous experience includes work with the NYC Mayor's Office of Housing Recovery, NYC Service, CITYMD, and various roles in clinical research and program management in health-related settings. Townsend earned a Bachelor's Degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Hampton University.
