Director Of Human Resources And Organisational Development at New Zealand Blood Service

Karen Didovich has over 30 years of work experience in human resources and organizational development. Karen is currently the Director of Human Resources and Organizational Development at New Zealand Blood Service since July 2019. Prior to this, they were the Group Human Resources Manager at Counties Manukau Health from March 2015 to July 2019. In this role, they provided HR guidance and advice to the General Managers and the Executive Leadership Team. Before that, they served as the Senior Employment Relations Adviser at the Royal College of Nursing in the UK from October 1994 to November 2014. Karen was responsible for developing and directing employment relations with providers across a diverse range of organizations. Karen also had previous positions as a Research Officer at the British Association of Occupational Therapists Limited and an Advisory Officer, Human Resources Section (Health) at the State Services Commission.

Karen Didovich obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Studies from The University of Auckland in 1987. Karen then went on to earn a Master of Arts degree in Political Studies from the same university in 1988. Later, Karen completed a Master of Arts degree in Information Management and Finance from the University of Westminster in 2004. In 2012, they obtained a certification as an Accredited Workforce Mediator from ADR Group.
