Alison Grant

Alison Grant currently serves as a Senior Media Adviser at the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade since April 2023. Prior roles include Principal Communications Advisor for the Te Ao Mārama Programme at the Ministry of Justice from November 2022 to April 2023, and Press Secretary for the Green Party of Aotearoa New Zealand between January 2021 and August 2022. Alison has also worked as a Media Advisor at the Ministry of Justice and held a position as Communications Advisor at the Office of the Children's Commissioner. Previous experience includes serving as an Assistant Language Teacher under the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program, Correspondence Manager for the Office of the Mayor of Auckland, and a journalist at Pharmacy Today. Alison holds a BA (Hons) in Communication and Media Studies from the University of Canterbury and a Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism from Auckland University of Technology.
