Doug Carter

Doug Carter has a diverse work experience in various companies. Doug began their career in Bechtel as a Project Manager from 1992 to 1997. Doug then worked as the Engineering and Consents Manager at Envirowaste Services from 1998 to 2002. From 2002 to 2007, they served as the Business Development Manager at Industrial Research Ltd. Doug joined KiwiRail in 2008 as a Senior Project Manager until 2011. At Auckland Transport, they held multiple positions including Principal Project Manager, Project Director, and Light Rail Transit Project Programme Manager from 2011 to 2016. Doug then worked at City Rail Link Ltd as the City Rail Link C5 and C8 Contract Delivery Manager from 2017 to 2019. In 2019, they joined Fletcher Construction as the Division Risk Manager until 2020. Currently, Doug Carter is working at KiwiRail as the Project Director for Rail Electrification Papakura to Pukekohe.

Doug Carter earned a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from The University of Auckland, which they completed between 1982 and 1987. Doug also holds a Master of Science degree in Environmental Science from Brunel University London. Additionally, they obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from The University of Auckland.
