Robert Gibbes

Robert Gibbes has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several companies. Robert currently holds the role of Chief Operating Officer - Construction Delivery at KiwiRail since August 2020. Prior to that, they served as CEO and Director at TSL from July 2017 to April 2020. Robert was also the CEO of Viridian Glass NZ from October 2016 to July 2017. Robert Gibbes has held various positions throughout their career, including General Manager at Dominion Constructors Ltd from July 2012 to March 2016, General Manager, New Zealand at The Laminex Group from April 2008 to March 2012, and General Manager at Humes Pipeline Systems from October 2003 to March 2008. Robert also served as General Manager at Stresscrete, NZ's largest precast/prestress concrete manufacturer and subcontractor, from November 1998 to October 2003. Robert Gibbes started their career with various roles at Fletcher Building from November 1992 to November 1998 and with NZ Dairy Group from October 1983 to February 1989.

Robert Gibbes completed their Bachelor of Management Studies (Honors) degree in Finance and Operations Management from The University of Waikato between 1989 and 1992. Prior to that, they earned a Diploma in Dairy Technology specializing in Dairy Science and Process Engineering from Massey University, which they gained from 1985 to 1987.
