Semidán Robaina

Semidán Robaina, Ph.D., currently serves as Principal Systems Modeling Scientist at NewAtlantis Labs, focusing on developing a marine data platform for ocean conservation. Previous experience includes positions as Senior Bioinformatics Scientist at Universidad de La Laguna, where significant advancements in Python package development and educational initiatives took place, and as Data Scientist at the Ronin Institute, where network analysis projects were undertaken. At the University of Potsdam, achievements involved automating data analysis and curriculum development in Bioinformatics. Additional contributions at the Max Planck Institute included developing MATLAB tools for metabolic network reconstruction. Semidán holds a Ph.D. in Biomathematics, Bioinformatics, and Computational Biology from the University of Potsdam and multiple degrees from Universidad de La Laguna.
