Mixie von Bormann has extensive experience as an Art Director, working for various companies in the publishing industry. Mixie started their career at The Hollywood Reporter in 1999, where they served as a Senior Designer and took on the role of Art Director while the Senior Art Director was on maternity leave. Mixie then worked as an Art Director at Backstage, Moffly Publications, Summit Professional Networks, and NewBay Media, before joining Future plc in 2018. In addition to their corporate roles, Mixie also provided freelance graphic design services, where they worked on projects for Marie Claire South Africa, Woolworths Magazine, and TIA. Throughout their career, Mixie has been involved in conceptualizing and implementing publication visions, managing freelancers, overseeing design and production processes, and generating graphic content.
Mixie von Bormann completed their Baccalaureate/Matriculation from Brescia House between 1976 and 1990. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Arts & Design from the University of Johannesburg, where they studied from 1990 to 1993.
