Kathryn Sweeney

Kathryn Sweeney began their work experience as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Boston Scientific in 2015. In this role, they conducted product testing, wrote reports, and designed a benchtop testing device for gathering physician feedback.

Kathryn then moved on to QinetiQ North America in 2016, where they continued as a Mechanical Engineering Intern. Here, they modeled nets, created manufacturing drawings, assisted with rapid fire testing, and rebuilt test assemblies. Kathryn also fabricated manual composite layup for testing of armor.

In 2018, Kathryn became a full-time Mechanical Engineer at QinetiQ North America. In this role, they designed structural components, led on-site installations of RPG-defeating net systems, and managed internal R&D projects.
