Director, People & Total Rewards at The New Home

Cassandra Hansen, MBA, SHRM-CP has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. In 2009, they started their career as a Human Resources Assistant at Fletcher Jones Motorcars, where they gained experience in HR operations. In 2013, they joined American Career College as an HR Coordinator, contributing to various HR initiatives. Later that year, Cassandra transitioned to The New Home Company Inc., where they held multiple positions. Cassandra started as a Senior HR Generalist, overseeing the implementation of the ADP system and managing the payroll cycle. In 2017, they became the Payroll and Benefits Manager, responsible for end-to-end payroll processing and collaborating with finance on project code allocations and taxation events. In 2020, they were promoted to People Manager, where they continued to contribute to the HR function. Recently, in July 2021, Cassandra assumed the role of Director, People & Total Rewards, highlighting their expertise in people management and total rewards strategies.

Cassandra Hansen holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology, which they obtained from UC Santa Barbara between 2005 and 2009. In 2013 to 2015, they pursued HR Management at UCI Extension. Cassandra went on to complete their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Organizational Leadership from Brandman University from 2016 to 2018. Additionally, Cassandra Hansen has obtained several certifications, including a YTT 200-Hr certification from Yoga Alliance in December 2012, and two SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certifications from SHRM in February 2020.
