Jason Pugh

Jason Pugh, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Jason currently serves as the Vice President for the Center for Leadership & Development at New Horizons Computer Learning Centers. In this role, they oversee the growth, curriculum, procedures, and delivery of all leadership and development deliveries. Jason also generates sales revenue and opportunities, makes executive decisions on course delivery, and provides education to sales personnel. Additionally, they coordinate with New Horizons University to develop internal learning opportunities and builds cross-functional teams for better change initiatives.

Prior to this, Jason held the role of Director of Leadership & Development at New Horizons Computer Learning Centers, where they worked closely with facilitators and certified leadership advisors to facilitate and advise enterprise clients on gaining success in leadership and development. Jason also headed a team of facilitators focused on employee retention.

Before their roles at New Horizons, Jason was a Leadership and Development Facilitator/Program Manager. Jason facilitated courses on prioritizing time effectively, expanding influence, strategic negotiation skills, and effective presentations for medium and large businesses.

Jason also has experience as a Training & Development Manager at RB Retail & Service Solutions, overseeing client training and go-live plans for Point of Sale and Business Management Software. Jason developed training materials and delivered sessions for internal staff and external clients.

Earlier in their career, Jason worked as an Instructional Coach/ELA Teacher at Propel Schools, an Instructional Designer at Continuum, and a Secondary English Teacher at Pitt County Schools.

Overall, Jason has a strong background in leadership and development, training and development, instructional design, and education.

Jason Pugh, Ph.D., holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Instructional Management and Leadership from Robert Morris University, which they obtained from 2013 to 2016. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Education (M.A.Ed.) in Education from East Carolina University between 2009 and 2012. Their undergraduate studies led to the completion of a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English Literature from Seton Hill University in 2007. At the same institution, they also obtained a Secondary Education Certification in English Education from 2003 to 2007. Jason Pugh completed their high school education at West Mifflin High School, earning a Diploma with a focus on an A.P. Course Path from 2000 to 2003. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including "Ethics in the Age of Generative AI," "Generative AI: The Evolution of Thoughtful Online Search," "Introduction to Artificial Intelligence," and "Streamlining Your Work with Microsoft Bing Chat" from LinkedIn in 2023. Jason holds the "What Is Generative AI?" certification from LinkedIn as well. Jason Pugh is also a Continuum Certified IT Expert and a Microsoft Office Suite - Master.
