Shamus Reid

Shamus Reid has a diverse work experience starting from 2005 to the present. Shamus served as the Co-Founder & COO of New/Mode, a company that provides technology for organizations to engage with decision-makers and win campaigns. Shamus also worked as Press Secretary to the Leader at BC New Democrat Official Opposition and Press Secretary for Team Horgan during a campaign to elect John Horgan as BC NDP leader. Shamus Reid was involved in various roles with BC NDP, including being a Pre-Election Organizer. Shamus worked at NOW Communications Group Inc. in research, special projects, and client support. In 2011, Shamus served as the BC Press Secretary for the New Democratic Party of Canada during an election campaign. Prior to that, they held leadership positions at the Canadian Federation of Students-British Columbia, overseeing various responsibilities and representing member unions. Shamus also held the position of Director of Finance at the University of Victoria Students' Society, where they managed the organization's budget, businesses, and employees, among other duties.

Shamus Reid has a diverse education history. Shamus completed their Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management in 2016 with a focus on Business. In the same year, they also participated in the Grow Program at Spring Startup School. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Political Science from the University of Victoria in 2013.
