Abu Khan

Abu Khan is a seasoned electrical and project engineer with extensive experience in the mining sector. Currently serving as Project Engineering Lead and Acting Project Lead for Ore Processing at Newmont Corporation since November 2023, Abu previously held multiple roles at Newcrest Mining from April 2018 to November 2023, including Acting Project Lead for Ore Processing and Superintendent Projects. Prior to this, Abu worked as an Electrical Engineer at IA Engineering Pty Limited and Lendlease, where key responsibilities included site-based contract work and engineering activities such as design, testing, risk assessments, and project management. Initial experience was gained as a Project Engineer and Undergraduate Electrical Engineer at ABB and the University of Sydney, respectively. Abu holds a Bachelor of Engineering with Honors in Electrical Engineering.
